Do you want to join, and are you new to archery?
To join the club and start attending club sessions you must first of all complete a course in archery This is done on a one-on-one basis, one student per coach.
Gisborne Archery Club will not accept anyone under the age of 10 years.
The sessions take place at the Gisborne Archery Club Hall in Disraeli Street and consist of 4 x 30-minute sessions at a cost of $80 for the full course.
The club will provide everything needed to learn to shoot including bows, arrows and any safety equipment necessary.
The session times for the courses take place at an agreed time between coach and student. Please note that once session times have been agreed to by both the coach and student that failure to attend a session by the student without prior notice will mean that the student will be unable to complete the coaching course and a further $15 per session missed will need to be paid to complete the course. Payment for these sessions must be paid in advance. Failure to pay prior to the coaching course will mean cancelation of the course.
All students of archery must fill in the club database form before starting a course. The information gathered on this form will be shared with our national body ‘Archery NZ’ on joining the club. By filing out the form and returning you are agreeing to share this information.
Juniors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver throughout the coaching sessions at all times.
It is also important to disclose any disability including learning prior to booking a coaching course so that a specialized coach can be allotted.
